Hertha Berlin winger Nikita Rukavytsya believes that he will play a part in the club's Bundesliga campaign in 2011-12 if they are promoted to the German top flight at the end of the season.
Hertha are on the verge of a return to the top division with four 2. Bundesliga games to play, and have a ten point gap ahead of VfL Bochum in third.
Talking to The West Australian newspaper, Rukavytsya thinks that his performances for the west-Berlin based outfit should merit his selection in the first-team next season.
"First of all, I think they want to keep the same team," Rukavytsya said.
"We have a Bundesliga team now so they don't need to make too many changes. Secondly, I've proved myself this year and everybody is really happy with me."
Rukavytya has played 28 times this season, scoring four goals, and his form has seen him earn a return to the national team setup from Australia coach Holger Osieck.
Hertha Berlin will look to seal their promotion this Monday evening away at MSV Duisburg.
