Arsenal's Robin Van Persie A Transfer Target For Inter - Report

The Italian giants are keeping tabs on the Dutch star, whose contract talks are not going as planned at the Emirates Stadium...

Van the Man: Arsenal's Dutch star Robin van Persie, now looking rid of injuries, finally hitting top form as he scored twice in the Gunners' 4-0 thrashing of Portuguese champions Porto.
According to a report in British tabloid The Daily Mirror, Italian giants Inter are considering making a move for Arsenal forward Robin Van Persie in the summer.

It is claimed that the Nerazzurri have upped their interest in the 25-year-old Dutch international after recent contract talks with the Gunners apparently broke down.

The former Feyenoord ace is alleged to be demanding a deal in the region of €89,500-a-week (£80,000) while the north London club are offering €73,000 (£65,000).

It is also suggested that Van Persie is not entirely happy with Arsenal's situation at present and is seeking talks with regards to which direction the club is heading.

Inter head coach Jose Mourinho is said to have already made an enquiry as to the availability of the 6ft 2in striker, who has scored 12 goals in 33 caps for the Netherlands.
