thumbnail Hello,

The owner of the Italian club has issued a strongly worded statement surrounding the position of his second in command, who has been linked with an exit from the Rossoneri

AC Milan's Silvio Berlusconi has hit out at claims that vice-president Adriano Galliani is on his way out of the club.

The former Italian Prime Minister, who has worked alongside the 68-year-old since 1986, moved promptly to quell the rumours, and took the opportunity to underline his complete confidence in his right-hand man.

"I take this opportunity to reiterate my total faith in Adriano Galliani," Berlusconi told reporters at a press conference.

“There have been some articles relating to Milan and its structure. These articles are devoid of any truth.

"He [Galliani] is one of the greatest men in the game and has been my friend for 30 years. I have unconditional professional respect for him."

Milan continue their Champions League campaign this evening when they face Zenit St Petersburg at 20:45CET.
