Alvarez: Inter should always aim high
The Argentine midfielder is pleased to have returned to pre-season, and has stressed that the Nerazzurri are desperate to improve on the disappointments of the previous campaign
Ricardo Alvarez believes Inter should always be aiming to fight for top honours, and is keen for the 2012-13 campaign to get underway so him and his team-mates can right last season’s wrongs.
The Nerazzurri had to settle for a sixth-place finish in the Serie A table last term, and the Argentine midfielder is desperate to do better in the upcoming campaign.

"We're hoping that this season will be better for us and for all the Inter fans. We'll work hard for this," Alvarez was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
“Inter are used to aiming high, and that's how it should be.”
He then went on to discuss his fitness, which has been under question recently, but he made it clear that his knee problems are something of the past.
"I feel good and I'm happy to be here, to have returned to work. During the holidays I did a nice job of recovering for my knee that was giving me a bit of a problem. Now I'm fine and ready to start getting down to work."
Alvarez made 21 league appearances for Inter last term.
