Ahead of their Monday night match against Juventus, Pioli has said he is prepared to face a determined visiting side
Chievo coach Stefano Pioli has appeared cautious ahead of his team's Monday night clash against Juventus in Serie A.
In an interview with the club's official website, Pioli spoke of the need to remain weary of what he believes will be a confident Juve outfit.
“Juventus are a valuable side, and we must to show our best shape, remaining focused on the match and try to clinch the result that will push us away from the relegation zone.
“Overcoming Lazio has given them some more chances in their chase for fourth place, therefore we will face a motivated opponent.”
The tactician also praised the maturity and heart of his team, adding: “We deserve some more points, because our season has been great, always showing our determination and ability in achieving important targets.
“In the second round, we have played essential games for our future, such as those against Brescia, Bari, Bologna and Lecce, and we have faced them displaying our maturity and attention. My players have always been asked to give their all, and they will be asked to do it up until the end.”
Currently Chievo sit in 13th position in Serie A, six points clear of the relegation zone.
