Juventus have been given a massive boost after scans on Diego revealed his injury is not as serious as first thought.
The Brazilian went down in pain against Lazio on Saturday and had to be carried off the field with what seemed like a serious injury.
However, Diego had further medical tests, including a scan, which revealed nothing more than a tired muscle in his right leg.
A note on the club's official website reads, "Diego under went a MRI scan with professor Faletti in Turin and the examination did not reveal any muscular injury.
"The player is suffering from muscular fatigue and will need seven days where he will undergo some physiotherapy before returning to the pitch."
The playmaker will miss Tuesday night's Champions League clash with Bordeaux, but reports in Il Corriere Dello Sport claim he could be back in action this weekend.
