Player Ratings: Lazio 0-3 Milan

Milan easily accounted for Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico earlier tonight, to narrow Inter's gap atop of the table to just six points. Adrian Del Monte rates the players on show throughout this contest...

Pato - Lazio-Milan Serie A (Grazie Neri)
Lazio

Muslera – 7.5:
The Lazio keeper conceded three tonight, but was certainly not at fault for any, as they can all be put down to defensive lapses in concentration. He prevented the deficit from being five or six, thanks to some brilliant saves throughout.

De Silvestri – 6.0: The pick of the Lazio back four in this match, as he was lively early and showed some real promise today. Made life tough for Pato early, which is a credit to his performance.

Siviglia – 5.5:
Did not look switched on at all tonight, and he managed to squander a glorious opportunity to equalise on the stroke of half time.

Rozenhal – 5.0: Completely at fault for the Ambrosini goal, as he was caught ball watching and failed to mark his direct opponent. Poor showing tonight.

Radu – 5.0: Very quiet in this match by the left back, as he failed to get forward and offer anything in attack. It was his clumsy challenge on Beckham that led to the Ambrosini goal after just one minute in the second half.

Brocchi – 5.5:
Looked good early, however he faded out of the contest as it wore on, and was substituted after 74 minutes for Dabo as a result.

Ledesma – 6.0:
When his side were in control in the first half, it was a result of his dominance in the centre of the park. However, as was the case with the large majority of his team mates, he had minimal impact in the second period.

Matuzalem – 5.5: Made his first start since September, when these two sides last met, and it was an extremely anonymous showing from the on loan Zaragoza man, who failed to make his mark tonight.

Meghni – 6.0: Provided great service to both Pandev and Zarate early on, and he also had some chances of his own, including one on 48 minutes that was well dealt with by Abbiati.

Pandev – 6.0:
Worker hard for little reward. Was arguably his side’s most dangerous player when in possession of the ball; however he failed to hit the target tonight.

Zarate – 6.5: Looked lively early, but he once again failed to replicate the form that saw him explode to life in Italy at the start of the season. Had a number of promising opportunities, including a one on one with Abbiati after 36 minutes.

Subs: Inzaghi 6.0, Dabo 5.5, Kolarov 5.5

Milan

Abbiati – 6.5:
Didn’t have all that much to do in this match, however he did what he had to when required. His world class effort was enough to deny Zarate, in a one on one situation after 36 minutes of play.

Zambrotta – 6.5:
Gave his all on the right, and despite not getting forward as much as he would have like to, he still managed to offer a lot in this match.

Senderos – 7.0: The on loan Arsenal man made a number of convincing challenges, and decreased the impact that Pandev and Zarate had on proceedings as the match wore on.

Bonera – 7.0: Was called up as a late replacement for Favalli, and he made the most of his opportunity, by performing solidly alongside Senderos at the back. He completely nullified the threat of Pandev and Zarate, which consequently allowed Milan to hold their first clean sheet in six matches on the road.

Jankulovski – 6.5: Similar to Zambrotta, the left back didn’t get forward as much as he would have liked to, however he still managed to have some efforts on goal, including one after seven minutes from close range.

Ambrosini – 7.0: A professional performance by the veteran midfielder, who managed to easily head home Milan’s second goal early in the second half.

Pirlo – 6.5:
The World Champion was involved in the play more often than not tonight; however his accuracy was off at times throughout. He still managed to make his presence felt though, as he continues to acclimatize himself to life alongside Beckham.

Beckham – 7.5: A brilliant display by the Englishman, as it undoubtedly was his most impressive performance in Milan colours to date. Two wonderful assists to set up the first two goals, and an all round dominant performance that led his side to victory on the night.

Kaka – 7.0:
The Brazilian was his usual self tonight, and did what he had to, to ensure that his side took a result away from the contest. He deservedly managed to get his name onto the score sheet in the final ten minutes, and he constantly improved as the match wore on.

Seedorf – 6.0: Improved as the time went by, and was involved in a lovely one-two movement with Kaka to set up the third goal.

Pato – 7.0: The starlet was in and out of it throughout, however he did manage to find the back of the net twice, although one was ruled out for offside. Continued his brilliant goal scoring form, as he managed to net his tenth of the season, and climb further up the Serie A goal scoring charts.
