Fiorentina Have Shown Interest In Alex - Agent

Fiorentina have inquired about Internacional playmaker Alex, but no offer has been made yet, according to the player's agent.

Brazilian playmaker Alex of Internacional has been linked to a move to Europe for a number of years now, but it seems no team has made any official offers as of late. The 26-year-old's agent Luis Carlini talked about the player's situation, revealing that Fiorentina have shown an interest.

"So far we have only been asked for information from various European clubs, but we've had no official offers," he said. "I think, however, that this week or the next there could be concrete offers coming in.

"We will see what Internacional's economic demands are and what the player wants. My trip to Europe has nothing to do with Alex's possible transfer. Fiorentina are one of the teams who have asked information about the player, but we have had no offer yet from their president.

"Only when we get an offer can we say that they are genuinely interested."

Alex joined Internacional from Guarani in 2004 and scored 53 goals since then. Last year he also made his debut for the Brazilian national team.
