Lippi: Fiorentina – Udinese Could Have Ended Eight All
Azzurri coach Marcello Lippi has given his opinion on the entertaining and fiery encounter that saw six goals scored during ninety exciting minutes.
The Bianconeri had taken a first-half lead through Antonio Floro Flores before Adrian Mutu levelled from the penalty spot early in the second period. Riccardo Montolivo scored a brace and Alberto Gilardino then made it 4-1 for the hosts.
Antonio Di Natale pulled a late goal back from a spot kick after Gianluca Comotto was dismissed, ending the game with a score line of four goals to two, in favour of the Viola.
Italian national team coach Lippi has commented on the exciting match, which was by far the most entertaining of round 13. “Inter against Juve was a beautiful game, but in Fiorentina against Udinese there was a bit of everything, it could have finished 8-8,” said Lippi.
The former Juventus tactician continued, “During the game the two teams experienced everything that is part of football, in other words suffering, insecurity, fear, enthusiasm, they scored fantastic goals, and for that reason it was probably the best game of the weekend.”
