Mihajlovic Hoping Inter Beat Juve
Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic hopes his old team Inter beat Juventus in Saturday night's Derby d'Italia.
Former Inter player and assistant coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, who was recently appointed the new coach of Bologna, talked about this weekend's massive Serie A clash between Inter and Juventus to Mediaset Premium 24.
"Juventus are playing better but I think Inter might win in the end, though it will be very tough," he said. "[Jose]Mourinho has more players, while [Claudio] Ranieri has the collective. I hope for [Massimo] Moratti and my ex team mates that the Nerazzurri will win, but it will be very, very difficult.
"Juve have to be careful for [Julio] Cruz, who is their bogey man, for [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, who is extraordinary, but also for Maicon. Just like Inter will have to be careful for [Alessandro] Del Piero and Amauri. It will be a special game, and I will root for my old team mates."
On the situation of Adriano, Mihajlovic said: "I love him like a brother, even though I see little has changed with Mourinho. A player can always change if he wants to change. With [Mourinho's predecessor Roberto] Mancini he would change his attitude for ten days, and then fall back to his old habits again. Too bad, because he is a great striker, if he's doing well he has no rivals."
He also talked about the task ahead with Bologna: "I will try to save them, I believe in it, I stepped in with the conviction that it's possible to stay in Serie A. Cruz? He would be very welcome, but we have not talked about it yet, and the January transfer window is still far away."
