Coman Hopes To Join Childhood Hero
Rapid Bucharest goalkeeper Dani Coman could be playing for his childhood idol as Catania have expressed their interest in signing him during this transfer window.
Coman admitted that Walter Zenga was his hero when he was a child and that he would love to join the Rossoblu and play in Serie A next season.
"I would be very happy to play for Catania together with my national team mate Nicolae Dica," declared the Romanian goalkeeper to Antenna 1 Romania.
"When I was young, Walter Zenga was my idol, therefore it would be a unique experience for me to be coached by the former Steaua coach."
If this deal goes through, Catania would pay Rapid Bucharest €1.5 million for the services of Coman. The contract of the 29 year old expires in June 2009, therefore the Romanian club will have to sell him this summer before losing him on a free transfer next year.
