TORINO

Matteo Sereni: 8.5 - His team would have been three goals down in the first half if not for his heroics between the posts. He was absolutely sensational today and was easily the man of the match.

Paolo Dellafiore: 6.0 - Was constantly saved from embarrassment by his keeper, who kept the score-line respectable in spite of his unconvincing performance at the back.

Marco Di Loreto: 7.5 - Was a tower of power at the back as he won everything in the air this afternoon.

Salvatore Lanna: 6.5 - Was run ragged by Santana all afternoon, especially in the first half.

Marco Pisano: 6.0 - Was anonymous for long stretches of the match and had problems coping with the Viola’s three pronged attack.

Eugenio Corini: 6.5 - The old warhorse still has some gas left in the tank as was evident by his performance today.

Aimo Diana: 7.0 - Was quiet in the first half but did supply the cross to Rosina for Torino’s best chance of the match, and really turned it on the in second half.

Vincent Grella: 5.5 - He was a non factor and did not make an impact on the match at all.

Alessandro Rosina: 7.5 - Made a nuisance of himself all afternoon and was one of the most dangerous players on the pitch. Might have found his name on the score-sheet if not for a save made by Frey with his feet.

Davide Di Michele: 7.0 - Picked up the intensity in the second half and was at the heart of most of Torino’s dangerous counterattacks.

Roberto Stellone: 6.0 - Should have really found the back of the net as he had many chances to do so.

FIORENTINA

Sebastian Frey: 7.5 - Did not have much to do between the posts in the first half, but made two great saves from Rosina when he was called into action in the final 45 minutes.

Martin Jorgensen: 7.0 - Had another solid game at the back especially in the second half when Fiorentina were on the back foot.

Tomas Ujfalusi: 6.5 - Was a rock at the back of the defence for the Viola in his final game for the club.

Alessandro Gamberini: 7.0 - Sent in a header that almost found the back of the net but Sereni made a world class save. He made two vital challenges to help Frey keep a clean sheet.

Massimo Gobbi: 6.5 - He had a very good first half with some forward runs, but he was inconspicuous in the second half.

Zdravko Kuzmanovic: 6.0 - Supplied some good crosses in the first half, but was eventually substituted early in the second half.

Fabio Liverani: 6.0 - Was unlucky not to score as his free kick in the 26th minute was destined for the top corner until Sereni punched the ball away.

Riccardo Montolivo: 6.5 - Pulled the strings in the midfield and almost found the back of the net with a spectacular shot in the first half.

Mario Santana: 7.5 - Was very lively and the best Viola player on the field. He had two good chances to give his team an early lead but was foiled by Sereni both times.

Giampaolo Pazzini: 5.5 - Will be disappointed with his performance today as he failed to make any sort of impact.

Pablo Osvaldo: 7.5 - A wonderfully executed overhead kick gave the Viola the goal they were looking for and punched their ticket into Europe’s premier club competition.
