The Barcelona star refused to be drawn on his contract situation after the 6-1 victory over Celta on Sunday, admitting only that negotiations are ongoing

Barcelona star Neymar refused to be drawn on his future after his side's 6-1 hammering of Celta, insisting "anything could happen".

The Brazil forward grabbed a goal in Sunday's blistering display from the Catalan side, with Luis Suarez scoring a hat-trick and Lionel Messi also finding the net as well as setting the Uruguayan up twice.

Despite the performance being another illustration of the firepower of the famous 'MSN' trident, Neymar's future remains uncertain and the 24-year-old did nothing to quell speculation after the game.

“Negotiations over contract extension are still ongoing," he told reporters.

"But I have more years yet and many things could happen."

Neymar has scored 17 league goals this term and sits top of the assist charts with nine - he has created more chances in the Spanish top flight than any other player.
