Barcelona have broken Real Madrid's record for the most goals scored in a calendar year by netting a four against Real Betis on Wednesday evening.

Lionel Messi's strike had pulled Barca level on 178 goals in all competitions with Madrid, who set the record in 2014, while two Luis Suarez efforts pushed the Spanish champions' total to 180 for 2015.
