Sevilla Sweating Over The Fitness Of Jesus Navas And Lolo
the injury list continues to grow for Los Nervionenses...
The Andalusian outfit host Racing Santander the weekend with just 12 first team player's presently fit after Navas and Lolo had to be replaced during the Copa del Rey victory over Barcelona on Tuesday night due to injury.
The spate of injuries to key players has contributed greatly to the recent poor run that sees Jimenez's men on a three game losing streak. They have won just one of their last five Primera Liga outings and the coach conceded earlier this week that his sides league title challenge is over as they now sit ten points adrift of leaders Barcelona.
"We have to keep an eye on developments in the coming hours," AS quotes from the clubs medical report following the win over Barca.
As well as a list of casualties which incudes the likes of Luis Fabiano and Adriano, Sevilla are also without Sergio Sanchez who has had to quit the game due to a heart condition and Frederic Kanoute and Didier Zokora, who are on international duty at the African Cup of Nations.
