Sevilla
Andres Palop 7.0 - Not a single save to make for the Sevilla keeper, did anything that was required in a straightforward manner, and was helpless at the equaliser.
Julien Escude 6.0 – Perhaps slightly fortunate to only be booked for a foul on Plasil as he went in on goal, and didn’t appear particularly comfortable all evening. Pandiani escaped his clutches for the equaliser.
Sebastien Squillaci 6.5 – Crazy tackle scythed down Plasil early on, which could have injured him more severly. Other than that was comfortable and dealt with the Osasuna threat.
Fernando Navarro 6.5 – forced to play out of position at right-back but did well and fed Jesus Navas whenever possible.
Ivica Dragutinovic 5.5 – Caught wrong side of his man on more than one occasion, and at times appears to be slightly clumsy in his defensive style. Didn't enjoy the introduction of Masoud into the action.
Ndri Romaric 6.5 - The powerful midfielder had a reasonably solid if unspectacular match in the centre.
Adriano 6.0 - A quiet evening for the Brazilian winger, he never really found his rhythm and was replaced by Diego Capel on the hour mark.
Jesus Navas 7.5 – Sevillas best player by some way. Scored a stunning goal and tormented Monreal on the right hand side, but missed a wonderful chance to win it for his side.
Aldo Duscher 6.0 - Not an ideal partner for Romaric in central midfield, with both players harbouring a similar style, and Duscher was brought off in the second half before his temper got him a second booking.
Renato 6.5 – Has been in decent goalscoring form of late and did ok tonight but his display was representative of Sevilla's lack of cutting edge.
Frederic Kanoute 6.0 – Missed a superb chance in the first half, heading wide from close range, and he struggled to give his side the necessary link-up to make Sevilla tick. Looked slightly off the pace.
Substitutions:
Diego Capel 5.5 - Was a bright spark, going on a few mazy runs and putting the Osasuna defenders on the back foot.
Crespo 5.0 - Almost won it at the death for his side but was denied by a superb save by Roberto.
Fazio 5.0 - Replaced Duscher as Sevilla attempted to see out the match but was helpless to stop Pandiani levelling the scores.
Osasuna
Roberto 7.5 – A relative spectator in the first half, he was beaten superbly by Navas in the second but made two excellent stops from Navas and Crespo.
Miguel Flano 7.0 – Marshalled Kanoute extremely well throughout and gave the big frontman very little time to link with his teammates.
Sergio 7.0 - Similar to his defensive partner he did well enough and was only denied a point by a wonder strike by Navas.
Nacho Monreal 6.5 – Linked well with Plasil on the left and gained his team good ground on that side, although was given a difficult time by the dangerous Navas, and didn’t get close enough to him for the goal
Javier Flano 6.5 - Not a regular for Osausna and at times this evening didn't look on the same wavelength as the rest of his defence.
Azpilicueta 6.5 – made one marauding run first half and got his cross in
Javad Nekounam. Seemed to relish playing in a right midfield role.
Kike Sola 7.0 – got forward and took pressure off of his back line by taking the ball for a run. Led the line well before having to go off injured right on half-time.
Javad Nekounam 6.5 - Similarly to Font, struggled to create anything from midfield but worked extremely hard for his team and didn't let Sevilla get the ball down and play. Did however miss a decent chance with his head in the opening ten minutes.
Jaroslav Plasil 7.5 - Argubly Osasuna's best player, he beat men regularly in the opening period and delivered some dangerous balls into the area.
Hector Font 6.5 - Is expected to create with his proven guile, but struggled to fashion any openings for his team-mates.
Substitutions:
Javier Portillo 6.0 – Came on just before half-time but didn’t get the service in what was a different game.
Walter Pandiani 7.0 - Came on as Osasuna went for it, and used all of his instincts to equalise in the final minute to grab his side a crucial point.
