Real Madrid might be in crisis at the moment but things could get a lot worse for them this month, especially if they play as they have done recently on December 13.

That is the date they travel to the Camp Nou to take on a rampant Barcelona and today it has been confirmed by AS that Luis Medina Cantalejo will be the man in charge of the match.

The Andalucian official has already overseen a Real Madrid disaster this season, when they went of the Copa Del Rey to Real Unión, but he has never seen them lose to Barcelona before when in charge.

The two times that he has refereed El Clásico before they have both ended in a draw, and both times they were at the Camp Nou.

The first occasion was back in 2002 when it finished 0-0 between the two giants, and the second time was in 2006 when it was a 1-1 draw.

Medina Cantalejo has been a referee in the top flight for over ten seasons now and he was the only Spanish official to be involved in the European Championships this summer.
