Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu is still bitter with the 1-0 defeat to Roma on Sunday and he has blasted the Giallorossi by accusing them of being too scared to play good football.

Roma picked up their third win a row but they were rather fortunate with the way they won as Francesco Totti's strike should not have gone in so easily.

The Romanian international has now vented his frustrations out on the club he was so close to joining in the summer.

"We didn't deserve to lose," Mutu is quoted as saying on Romanews.eu.

"We played a brilliant first half against them and we created many great chances.

"In the end, they were not even coming at us because they were scared of us.

"The league is still long and one thing is for sure and that is we are right up there."

Perhaps the striker was also annoyed at the treatment he received from the volatile crowd.

Mutu was booed, heckled and jeered every time he touched the ball.
