Toni Coming Back To Fiorentina - Della Valle

Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle believes that Luca Toni will return to La Viola soon.

The Bayern Munich hit-man enjoyed a brilliant first season in Germany, where he led the team to the Bundesliga crown.

Now, though, Della Valle wants his old hitman to return to the Artemio Franchi and he is confident that such a move is possible.

“Why are contracts worth so much apart from in football?” Della Valle asked GQ. “It happened to us with Toni, but he understood straightaway that he had to renounce the money which was offered to him by Inter.

“He is earning more than anything at Bayern, but he will return to us in a couple of years.”

Toni scored 47 goals in 67 games for Fiorentina before securing an €11m move to Bayern last year.

The Viola have been busy in the summer transfer market, spending no less than €35m on new talent.

Alberto Gilardino has arrived from Milan for €14m and has been dubbed ‘the new Toni’.
