Portugal boss Luiz Felipe Scolari and former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho have been strongly linked to replace the Swede at Eastlands in the summer.
But while Thaksin admitted that the club will consider Eriksson’s future at the end of the season, he insisted that no decision has yet been made to sack the ex-England boss.
"We have made no decision," the former Prime Minister of Thailand told BBC Sport. "We will do an evaluation at the end of the season."
"They all - Sven, Scolari, Mourinho - they are great coaches, great managers.
"During the season, we may complain for improvement but that's normal for every club.
"But we will discuss at the end of the season what needs to be changed, what needs to be added to the success of the club."
