Vital Atlético Win Before Liverpool Trip - López
Antonio López believes that Atlético de Madrid's victory against Real Mallorca on Saturday evening was vital to rebuild confidence ahead of the trip to Liverpool in midweek.

The Spanish international full-back impressed as Sergio Agüero scored both goals in a 2-0 win in Vicente Calderón to end a run of four leageu games without a triumph.
Atlético had been under pressure to bounce back in the league after three defeats and a draw in their last four matches and López was delighted to have done so before heading to Anfield.
"We really needed a league victory. In the Champions League we are well placed, but in la Primera we have suffered several defeats and we needed to move back up with a win," El Mundo Deportivo quoted him as saying.
"Against a team like Liverpool we cannot do anything daft. They are a great side that function very well as a unit. We have to try and impose our rhythm on the game and take our chances."
Los Colchoneros moved back into the top six with the win and López thinks that keeping a clean sheet was as important as taking their chances at the other end.
"After a number of games where we had conceded poor goals, it was fundamental that we did not concede any," he continued.
"Then, as a result, the team was very good in front of goal when presented with chances. People said that it was a game that could surprise us, but we have come out on top."
