Cerezo: Next Season We Will Challenge Madrid
Atlético de Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has said that his side must learn from arch rivals Real Madrid and try and push them much harder at the top of the table next term

Los Colchoneros' supremo admitted that he will only be happy when his side have booked their place in the top four, but did praise his club's cross town neighbours.
"Real Madrid are the only team to have shone in a season when they have won the league with very little opposition. They had a great first half to the campaign and then nobody challenged them," Cerezo explained.
"Now we have to learn from them and try to start again and win the title next season. I have just had about all I can take this term."
Cerezo has been through some difficult times this term with Atlético failing to find much consistency of late and he cannot wait for the season to come to a close.
"I wish that this season had finished yesterday. The real problem is enduring such a long campaign without ever knowing for sure if you are going to complete you aims," he continued.
"We just need three more points to ensure that we will be playing in the Champions League, which is our main aim for the start of next season."
Finally, the Atleti chief revealed that he expects coach Javier Aguirre to stay put should the team finish in the top four, despite rumours that he could be sacked.
"He has a clause that states that if the team qualifies for the Champions League his contract is automatically renewed for one more season and I like people to comply with their contracts," Cerezo concluded.
