César Hoping For Valencia Switch
The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper would like the chance to try his luck back in Spain, even if it means spending time on the bench, after Valencia made their interest known.

César Sánchez has admitted that he would jump at the chance to return to Spanish football if Valencia follow up their interest in him - even if it means being an understudy at Mestalla.
The 37-year-old goalkeeper joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer knowing that he would be back-up to Heurelho Gomes, but has now been replaced in that role by Ben Alnwick.
Valencia have made their interest in him known as they look for a free transfer in the January market after allowing Timo Hildebrand to leave for nothing, and César is hoping a move can happen.
"I am in England now and I am with my team, but I cannot deny that if something was to happen then the chance to go to Valencia would be very interesting," he told AS.
"It is a very attractive place to go with a great team and they have a chance of doing good things in the league and in Europe.
"When you reach a certain age you know that you can perform a different role within a team by contributing your experience and always being ready to play if you are not doing so."
César explained that he moved to Tottenham knowing that he would not have many first-team opportunities and does not regret the move as it has given him the chance to taste English life.
"Last summer something similar happened. Juande Ramos called me and told me clearly what the situation was and that Tottenham had made a big investment in Gomes, but he wanted me as back-up and I accepted the challenge knowing what it would mean," he continued.
"Coming to live in London has been a vital experience for me as a player but even more so as a person."
