Spurs Tell Berba: You Can Only Go If Arshavin Joins
Tottenham Hotspur are understood to have told want-away striker Dimitar Berbatov that he will only allowed to leave if Spurs can bring in Andrei Arshavin as well as Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Dimitar Berbatov’s desired move to Manchester United looks like hinging on Tottenham’s ability to secure a Russian double.
Roman Pavlyuchenko is reportedly on his way to north London in a £12million deal from Spartak Moscow.
But his signing him alone will not be enough to prompt Spurs to sell Berbatov to Manchester United, because they would still only have two strikers.
Tottenham are understood to have re-opened talks with Zenit St Petersburg over Andrei Arshavin this week, and are hopeful they can negotiate the fee down to below £20million, after Zenit broke the Russian transfer record with a €30million deal for Portuguese midfielder Danny Alves from Dynamo Moscow. However, Zenit insist that 25-year-old Danny is not a replacement for Arshavin.
Nevertheless Spurs maintain that only when Arshavin has joined them will they agree to let Berbatov head off to Old Trafford.
That means the sulky, silky Bulgarian striker may be required to play one more game in a Tottenham shirt on Sunday. He could replace Darren Bent against Chelsea because Pavlyuchenko is unlikely to be ready, and Bent has looked below par so far this season.
