The Biancocelesti travel to Bergamo to clash with the Nerazzurri on November 30.
However, the team will be on their own as the away side's tifosi have been banned from travelling to the game.
The match has been labelled as a 'high risk' event by the football authorities and thus the decision was taken in an attempt to prevent trouble.
It comes after clashes between rival sets of fans during the Roma derby on Sunday.
Violence and trouble have occured before, during and after Roma's 1-0 triumph over their bitter city rivals from across town. The incidents were caused by Lazio fans and they have now been punished for their efforts.
Atalanta supporters are also well known for their penchant to cause trouble, especially when teams like Lazio are present.
The Bergamaschi are traditionally know to have left-wing allegiences, while the Aquilotti are famous for their far-right stance.
The authorities will have also taken this into consideration and it's not a surprise that they took the decision to stop Lazio supporters from heading north.
