The Biancocelesti suffered only their second defeat of the season last weekend, as they slipped up on their travels to Bologna by a 3-1 score line. It was a disappointing performance, and one in which the club is looking to make amends for in a few days' time against Napoli.

It’s a crucial match at the Olimpico this weekend, as both sides have started the campaign tremendously well. In a bitter blow to their cause, however, Lazio captain Tommaso Rocchi has injured himself once again and is therefore in serious doubt to take part in the contest.

Lazio boss Delio Rossi arranged a training match with Aprilia, which took place in the small province of Formello.

Following the completion of the match, however, his captain limped off the ground whilst clutching his left thigh. It’s not what the boss wanted in the lead up to such an important match, but only tomorrow morning, after the medical findings, will the coach know the extend of the injury.

Midfielder Mourad Meghni was also injured in the clash and was forced from the field. He too will undergo scans tomorrow, leaving Rossi to sweat over the fitness of two of his players.

Lazio won the match 7-1; however, the injuries to come from the match are certain to have more effect on the playing squad than the final result.
