Lazio have had a blistering start to the season, winning four games and only losing one to rivals Milan. They won 3-1 against Torino at the weekend, adding to their goal tally to make sure that they are still the top scorers in the league. Two goals from striker Mauro Zarate aand a Goran Pandev strike secured the away win, allowing Lazio to top the Serie A pile uncontested on twelve points.

Commenting on the club's wonderful spell, defender Cribari told radio show Lazio Siamo Noi, “In July I told people that [Claudio] Lotito had built a strong team, but to start off so well has been beyond even my expectations.

“Last year, the team was like a broken toy; there was no unity in the squad. Now that has changed and we are a great group again,” smiled the 28-year-old.

The age-old question was raised once again, though, with the defender being asked to explain whether he thought Lazio or crosstown rivals Roma were the better team. The Giallorossi have had a miserable start to the campaign, in stark contrast to the Biancocelesti.

“At this particular moment, we are the better team. Actually, I wish we could play the derby now!” the Brazilian admitted.
