The Andalucian side currently sit fourth in the table and they know that a win against their opponents could lift them as high as second.
Coach Manolo Jiménez told Marca that his side will have to 'be at their best for the clash' and compared the two teams, saying that Villarreal are 'like Sevilla, they work well all over the pitch and are fighting with all the big teams.'
He also praised El Submarino Amarillo, saying they have 'very fast players in attack, forward thinking defenders, good ball possession and are not at the top for the short-term.'
Jiménez has the opportunity to recall both Luis Fabiano and Enzo Maresca to the side this weekend but speaking about the subject he did not sound convinced that he would do so.
"Luis Fabiano is important, and to not play him is a difficult decision, but we also have a game on Thursday," he mused.
The coach also spoke about president of Sevilla, José Maria Del Nido, who this week called on the fans to get behind the team, and said he can do whatever he likes.
"The president is allowed to speak to the fans, he is the president. He wants them to support the team because he wants things to be good," he declared.
