No Riquelme talks, insists Santos director Nei Pandolfo

The Brazilian club's official stressed that his side have not made any attempts to sign the Argentine midfielder, who is reportedly still tied to the Buenos Aires-based side

Brazilian sources had claimed that the 2011 Copa Libertadores winners had approached the 34-year-old as they plan for life without Ganso, who is widely expected to leave the club in the summer.
However, Pandolfo claims that he has never discussed the possibility of signing Riquelme with coach Muricy Ramalho, but did not say anything about a future move for the Argentine veteran.
"I spoke with Muricy and we did not discuss anything about this player," Pandolfo told Esporte Interativo.
According to Lancenet, however, Santos are put off at Riquelme's contract situation, as the midfielder remains tied to Boca Juniors, who have the final call on the player's future.
