Check out the Goal show for highlights of Uruguay's 4-2 win over Peru in Sunday's World Cup qualifier
Uruguay defeated Peru 4-2 on Sunday to stay undefeated in the Conmebol World Cup qualifying group with help from Liverpool pair Sebastian Coates and Luis Suarez.Coates headed in the opening goal after 15 minutes with some assistance from Liverpool team-mate Luis Suarez amid suggestions the ball had not crossed the line after an attempted block. La Celeste added a controversial second after Maxi Pereira finished following an appeal for offside.
But Peru fought back with an own goal from Uruguay’s Diego Godin and a volley from Paolo Guerrero either side of half-time, before Oscar Tabarez’ side responded and sealed a win through substitutes Cristian Rodriguez and Sebastian Eguren.
The Copa America winners are now a point behind Chile with a game in hand, having hit four goals in three of their five matches.
