The 20-year-old had nothing but praise for his fellow countryman, while seemingly hinting that he would not hang up the phone on a big club
Falcao has enjoyed an impressive debut season at Atletico following his €40 million transfer from the Portuguese champions last season, netting 36 goals in all competitions as the Rojiblancos won the Europa League and finished fifth in La Liga.
James Rodriguez, who played alongside Falcao at Porto in 2010-11, was full of praise for his compatriot and said that the 26-year-old deserves to be considered one of the world's elite players.
"Falcao has shown in Spain that he is at the level of Messi and Ronaldo and he can help the Colombia national team," he told Antena 2.
The Porto youngster has been linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, and he refused to rule out a new challenge in the future.
"For me, it is a huge source of pride that big clubs are thinking about me, but my present is at Porto and that is what I am thinking about," the 20-year-old added.
"Any player would like to go to a big club. But as I said, I am still thinking about Porto and winning more titles there."
