Bolivia President Evo Morales Ready To Receive FIFA Inspectors In Bid To Resolve Football Crisis
Evo Morales will accept mediation as a dispute between the state and the FA threatens Bolivia's international future...

Government spokesman Ivan Canelas today read out a statement from Morales in a press conference, inviting FIFA officials to La Paz.
"[Morales] is ready to receive the delegations from FIFA and CONMEBOL to talk about the topics that most interest us; the development and progress of sport and our football," Canelas announced, two days after FIFA head Sepp Blatter had sent a personal note to Morales expressing his concern with recent developments.
"It overjoys me that you [Blatter] are aware of the problems that beset the FBF, not only economic problems but also with serious divides between directors. My government has kept out of the way of all this due to the fact that all accusations must first be clarified and proved."
The crisis began when state authorities ordered a seizure of assets from the Bolivian FA (FBF) and a threat of intervention, related to an unpaid tax bill of some $2.1 million owed by the FBF and issues in agreeing a suitable repayment plan. This led to the threat of suspension from FIFA, whose rules specifically outlaw government interference in national football bodies.
Spokesman Canelas finished by explaining that the conference, still without a date, would be carried out with an "open agenda" and arranged according to Morales' schedule.
