Real Madrid assistant coach Paul Clement believes winning the Champions League at the expense of Atletico Madrid would make the Santiago Bernabeu side's season a perfect 10.

Carlo Ancelotti's men missed out on the Liga title, but made it to the final of European club football's elite competition for the first time since 2002, while also winning the Copa del Rey by beating Barcelona 2-1 at Mestalla in April.

Clement feels they have already enjoyed a successful season, but says winning Saturday's showpiece in Lisbon would be the icing on the cake.

"It has been a great season for us already. We have fought for each title out there. It's a shame that we lost La Liga, but we can only congratulate Atletico," the Madrid assistant told Goal.

"But we won the Copa del Rey and are in the final of the Champions League. I think it would make our season a perfect 10 if we win on Saturday.

"But that's only if we beat Atletico. If we don't win, this season would probably be a nine. Winning the Champions League would be a dream come true for all of us. It's something very important."

Clement then went on to discuss the fitness of a number of players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, and stressed that a final decision on their availability will be made at the last moment.

"We will decide on the last day whether Ronaldo, [Gareth] Bale, [Karim] Benzema and Pepe will play. It all depends on how they feel on Saturday," he explained.

"Bale and Ronaldo are feeling well, though. I hope they will all make the final."
