Juventus have turned their attention to Ciro Immobile after a move for Olympique Lyonnais striker Lisandro Lopez seems to have fallen through, Goal.com understands.
The Serie A champions were looking to sign Lisandro on a six-month loan deal with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season, but Lyon are only interested in outright selling the experienced attacker, prompting Juve to look at alternatives.
The 22-year-old Immobile joined Juventus in the summer of 2008, but was since farmed out on loan to Siena, Grosseto and Pescara, before joining Genoa in a co-ownership deal at the start of this season.
The striker has since impressed with a string of fine performances, and Juventus are keen to lure him back to Turin in the January transfer window.
Genoa could be tempted to let go of Immobile if one of Simone Padoin, Luca Marrone or Stefano Beltrame is excluded in the deal, but the Bianconeri are reluctant to part company with either of the aforementioned trio.
Nevertheless, Juventus remain confident of reaching an agreement with Genoa following the good relationship between both clubs, and the deal could be concluded in the upcoming days.
