Milan eye Destro and Ogbonna in January
After meetings involving Silvio Berlusconi and Massimiliano Allegri, the club have drawn up a shortlist of players to cover the sale of Alexandre Pato and Nigel de Jong's injury
EXCLUSIVEby Elia Raimondo
AC Milan have begun outlining their transfer targets for the January transfer window, with Roma striker Mattia Destro top of their list.
Owner Silvio Berlusconi, vice-president Adriano Galliani and coach Massimiliano Allegri have held meetings since the turn of the new year, and Berlusconi has told local media that the club is looking to bring in a young Italian striker, thought to be Destro.
The Rossoneri have already sold Alexandre Pato to Corinthians, and with doubts surrounding the future of fellow striker Robinho, it is believed that Allegri wants to bring in a forward to fill the gaps that these departures would create.
Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna has also been earmarked as a possible target after the 24-year-old put in a number of impressive performances in Serie A as well as travelling with the Italy squad to Euro 2012.
Berlusconi also hinted at the arrival of two midfield players to help cover for the loss of Nigel de Jong after the Netherlands international was ruled out for the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles.
Their two targets are thought to be young midfielder Lucas Mugni from Argentine side Atletico Colon and Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin, who is currently on loan at Liverpool but has found himself on the sidelines at Anfield for much of his spell in England.
Midfielders are also thought to be high on the list for the 2007 Champions League winners, with PSV Eindhoven's Kevin Strootman tipped for a move to the San Siro.
