Ezequiel Schelotto has attracted the interest of Inter with his good performances for Atalanta, Goal.com understands.
The Giuseppe Meazza side are keen to add a right-sided midfielder to their squad as they prepare to part company with Jonathan, and they see the 23-year-old Schelotto as the ideal signing.
Inter are looking to acquire 50 per cent of the player's rights this winter, however, Atalanta prefer different conditions as the Bergamo side are willing to part company with Schelotto on a full-ownership deal in January for a fee of €7.5 million.
The winger - who was born in Argentina, but has represented Italy at international level - joined Atalanta in the summer of 2010 and has since developed into an important first team member.
Meanwhile, Inter have also shown an interest in Italy Under-21 international Riccardo Saponara, currently co-owned by Empoli and Parma.
The young attacker has impressed in Serie B this term, but Empoli are ready to cash in on the forward in order to solve their dire financial situation, and an offer in the region of €2,5m could be enough to purchase Empoli's half of Saponara's rights.
