Juventus ready to swoop for Ramirez
The Italian giants want to inject yet more creativity into their squad, and are ready to let go of a number of fringe players in order to lure the Uruguayan to Turin
EXCLUSIVEBy Romeo Agresti
Juventus have turned their attentions towards making Bologna midfielder Gaston Ramirez their next summer signing, Goal.com can reveal.
The Serie A champions have been linked with the 21-year-old for some time, and are now set to make a move as they look to add some more flair to their squad ahead of next season.
Bologna sporting director Roberto Zanzi recently slapped a €20 million price tag on Ramirez, but Juventus are hopeful of lowering their demands by including a number of fringe players in the deal.
Right-back Marco Motta is one of the leading candidates to leave the Turin giants for the Rossoblu this summer as head coach Stefano Pioli is also keen to bolster his defence.
Additionally, Simone Padoin could be on his way to Bologna after he was recently deemed surplus to requirements at Juve following the arrival of Kwadwo Asamoah.
The midfielder joined Juventus from Atalanta in January, but has been unable to secure regular first-team action at the Bianconeri.
The Old Lady face stiff competition in the race for Ramirez, though, as clubs such as Inter, Napoli, Manchester City and Liverpool have also been linked with the creative midfielder.
