Inter set sights on Luciano Monzon
The Nerazzurri are keen to add a new left-back to their squad in the summer transfer window, and they view the Nice defender as a viable alternative to Aleksandar Kolarov

Luciano Monzon has caught the attention of Inter with his good performances for Nice in the 2011-12 campaign, Goal.com can reveal.
The Nerazzurri are looking to strenghten their defence before the start of the new season, and had initially earmarked Manchester City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov as their prime target.
However, they have now turned their attention to the 25-year-old Monzon as they see him as a cheaper alternative to the Serbia international.
The wing-back first made a name for himself in Sergio Batista's Argentina side that won gold at the 2008 Olympics, and previously played for Boca Juniors and Real Betis.
Monzon is renowned for his darting runs down the left flank with a potent mix of power and precision in his left foot. He scored 10 goals for Nice in his first season in Ligue 1.
Although he is considered a low-cost/high-performance player, Monzon saw a move to Dnipro collapse in 2010 after a congenital heart condition was discovered during his medical.
Nwankwo Kanu joined Inter in 1996, but a medical showed he had a serious heart defect, while Khalidou Fadiga never played a game due to a similar issue despite being on the club's books in 2003-04.
Nice paid Boca a fee in the region of €2 million for Monzon in the summer of 2011, and they now value the wing-back at €6m.
Inter face stiff competition in the race for his signature, though, as Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais are both also tracking the Argentine.
