Agent confirms no contact between Bayern Munich & Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski

Representative claims that 'flirtation' between the Bavarians and the 23-year-old is not an issue at the moment, as talks are yet to be had with the German record champions

The agent of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has denied reports that he recently met with representatives of Bayern Munich.

Earlier this month, Uli Hoeness revealed the Bundesliga record champions are aiming to sign a top striker in the summer. And on Tuesday, Sport-Bild claimed die Roten had held a meeting with Lewandowski's representatives at the Eurosportsmanagement agency. However, speaking exclusively with Goal.com, the agency denied these allegations.

"Between Bayern and Robert there certainly has been no meeting," agent Maik Barthel said.

The report of contact between the Bavarians and Lewandowski's representatives comes following statements from Bayern's Franck Ribery claiming that the striker is more valuable than his team-mate, Mario Gotze. And Barthel admitted he was pleased that such praise came from within the camp of the German record champions.

"When Franck Ribery makes such a powerful statement, it's a great compliment, which we will not take lightly," he said. "It's great if in Munich they see the potential that Robert has."

Should Bayern eventually make a move for Lewandowski, a transfer will not be easy to force: the Poland international recently earned high praise from coach Jurgen Klopp, and has a contract at the club until 2014.

The striker has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 17 Bundesliga appearances so far this season.
