Representatives of Libertad star Victor Caceres are sure that a move to Europe is on the horizon and signalled the English Premier League as the most likely destination for the midfielder.
'El Topo' had previously been linked with Liverpool 18 months ago before deciding to stay at Libertad, where he has made over 160 appearances. Interest has grown in recent weeks, however, and a move away from his native country looks likely for the 26-year-old.
Agency Emerging Talents Sports Management, who handle Caceres' interests, affirmed that various clubs had shown interest, and although they refused to name a specific team they did divulge that the Paraguayan had an excellent chance of moving to England.
“We have received enquiries about Victor Caceres from various clubs in Europe” an agency spokesperson told Goal.com.
"The strongest offer at the moment is from an English club."
Caceres favoured position is as a holding midfielder, with his strength and ability to keep possession his key attributes.
He has enjoyed a successful career both domestically and internationally, winning four Paraguayan league titles with Libertad and representing the national team at the 2010 World Cup and 2011 Copa America.
