Juventus will take on Lazio in tonight’s ‘Posticipo’, but Claudio Ranieri will miss several key men in defence, with Jonathan Zebina, Dario Knezevic and Hasan Salihamidzic all out injured, while Zdenek Grygera will sit out a due to a suspension.
And there are rumours that Salihamidzic is again suffering from tendinitis and could be forced to undergo an operation which would rule him out for up to three months.
Director of sport Alessio Secco admitted yesterday that they are currently evaluating if it will be necessary to return to the transfer market to increase their defensive options, and newspaper Tuttosport reports this morning that the Corso Galileo Ferraris powers that be have drawn up a shortlist of potential targets.
Among the names is Siena revelation Camilo Zuniga who is having a superb season in Tuscany and was already tracked by the Old Lady in the summer.
The other options are Genoa right-back Giandomenico Mesto and rising star Lorenzo De Silvestri who is struggling to break into the starting XI at Lazio and the Aquile could opt to loan him out this month.
