Juventus have revealed that injured defender Zebina will undergo an operation on a tendon in his left leg which has troubled his for quite some time.
The Bianconeri medical team have attempted to help the player recover through medical therapy, physiotherapy and non-surgical means, but the defender has not responded well to treatment.
This has left the two parties with no other way forward and so the club, in agreement with the player, have decided to go down the surgical route in order to clean the inflamed left tendon.
The operation will take place on Thursday in Arezzo with Prof. Cerulli in charge of the operation.
The recovery period is estimated at around three months, meaning that Zebina could return for the last few months of the season, when Juve may still be in the fight for the Scudetto title, as well as the final knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League.
