Buffon: Inter And Milan Are Special

Juventus goal keeper Gigi Buffon has publically praised both Milan clubs in the lead up to his side’s clash with Inter.
Gianluigi Buffon has been out of action for a couple of months, as he continues to struggle with a back injury. He is tipped to make a return early in the new year however, something that will please the Bianconeri fans and supporters of Italian football in general.

Buffon’s Juventus face Inter next weekend at the San Siro stadium in Milan, and in the lead up to that particular contest, the keeper has had some kind words of praise for both the Nerazzurri, and their cross-town rivals Milan.

“Inter and Milan have something more than us, and they have an incredible amount of depth in their squad that will help them win the Scudetto,” proclaimed Buffon.

“The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri are special in that they have so many talented players that it makes it tough to compete with them all season.

“Having said this however, we have remarkable character and we will be ready to overtake them in the standings when the opportunity arises.

“The players have made a pact not to incur another period of decline, as we did in October, because we are aware that a repeat of that form will make winning the Scudetto an extremely tough thing to achieve,” he concluded.

Juventus are currently third in the standings, just three points behind next weekend’s opponents Inter, who have 27 points to their name.
