The ex-Chelsea boss has flown out to London to take a break and relax for a few days.

The whispers about his future have dramatically increased, after the dismal 2-1 defeat by Palermo at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

Turin media have been particularly active over the last few weeks, especially after the Bianconeri risked an embarrassing defeat at the hands of BATE Borisov in the Champions League.

Vincenzo Iaquinta spared their blushes with a brace to secure a 2-2 draw.

In the aftermath of that draw, several newspapers started questioning Ranieri's ability to restore the Old Lady to their pre-Calciopoli glory.

And this morning another Turin newspaper, La Stampa reports that Alessio Secco and Jean-Claude Blanc hope to lure Viola boss Prandelli next summer.

The former Parma boss has recently stated that he is not willing to leave Florence, where he managed to stunningly achieve Champions League qualification last term.

He was already in the frame to join the Bianconeri a few years ago, before Fabio Capello and later on Didier Deschamps took the helm.

Even before the Old Lady board plumped for Ranieri last year, Prandelli had been sounded out, but he had just renewed his contract with the Gigliati at the time.

La Stampa claims that the Bianconeri will have a bigger chance of succeeding in their efforts come June, because of the fractious relationship between Prandelli and Viola's sporting director Pantaleo Corvino.

The duo reportedly clashed over the summer over the potential transfer of Adrian Mutu to Roma, with Corvino allegedly keen to offload the Romanian to the Giallorossi.
