Juventus are looking to purchase Lazio's Argentine midfielder Cristian Ledesma next January, in order to strengthen the main sector of the field where they are lacking sufficient depth.
Ledesma, 26, has been in fine form for Lazio this season, and has found a great understanding with fellow Argentine Mauro Zarate, who without doubt has been their most influential attacking player so far.
According to Sportnews "Juventus are hoping to take advantage of the bad relationship between the midfielder and the Lazio directors, so that, in January 2009, they can secure his services."
Despite attracting interest from several other clubs in Italy and Spain, Ledesma has affirmed that Juventus have priority because he would be overjoyed to join the club.
The former Boca Juniors youth player joined Lazio from Lecce in 2006, and since then he has become transformed into one of Lazio's most valuable assets
