The Ukrainian midfielder was in Munich in December to start negotiations with the Bavarian giants, and although no formal agreement was forthcoming, Hoeness believes that he will be a Bayern player come next summer.
"Tymoschuk wants to get back to us by the end of January," Hoeness revealed to the Bild newspaper. "It seems like he does want to join FC Bayern, but only on his terms.
"We also want him, but obviously only on our terms. I believe he will sign on with us soon."
The Ukraine international will not be cheap though as it is thought that Zenit are demanding around €15 million for him. Zenit missed out on Champions League qualification for next season leading to the assumption that he will seek pastures new.
Meanwhile, Bayern have already announced the capture of Croatian striker Ivica Olic for next season.
