Bayern Munich have undergone a change by hiring former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann for the new campaign, but so far the pre-season results have not indicated this change is a positive one.
The legendary ex-striker has seen his side defeated by both Inter and Borussia Dortmund this summer, and this has caused Beckenbauer to worry slightly.
Klinsmann has a lot to live up to and will want to emulate the success of Ottmar Hitzfield, who won several championships and cups with the Bavarian side.
Beckenbauer, known as 'The Kaiser', has warned Klinsmann that the string of bad results he is seeing cannot continue.
He said: "Jurgen at this time is thinking about many things, all for the good of the team ... But now, you have to do things seriously with the start of the Bundesliga and Champions League."
Beckenbauer made his point very clear to Klinsmann: "It is essential they (Bayern Munich) get victories, if not then every effort should be made, even if we've lost."
Bayern will be looking to make a big splash in the Champions League after missing out on the tournament last season.
