The Napoli ace missed the past few games due to injury, but has revealed that he's ready to return to match action in Sunday's final against Gerardo Martino's sideUruguay attacker Edinson Cavani has confirmed that he's ready to take part in Sunday's Copa America final against Paraguay after having recovered from a knee injury.
The forward has been suffering from a strain since the group clash against Chile and has not played since. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently warned Uruguay not to risk Cavani in the upcoming clash with Paraguay, but the former Palermo ace seems to be ready to go again.
"The injury is very well. I have been able to train with the team for the past few days. I have lost a bit of match rhythm, but I'm available for the final," Cavani was quoted as saying by Ovacion.
"I have spoken with the coach and the medical staff and told them how I feel. They have given me the green light to play."
Cavani then went on to say that it's now up to head coach Oscar Tabarez to decide whether he will be part of the starting XI.
"I can't say whether I'll start. That's up to the coach to decide. I will make sure to give my all if I play and will make the most of it if I get playing time."
The final between Uruguay and Paraguay will take place in Buenos Aires on Sunday evening.
