Ustari primed for Boca debut
The Olympic gold-medallist moved back to Argentina after seeing his time in Spain ruined by injury, but his coach believes he is ready for Saturday's Inicial curtain-raiser
Oscar Ustari is set to make his first professional appearance for 14 months at the weekend, as he prepares to make his Boca Juniors debut against Quilmes on Saturday. The 26-year-old joined the Argentine side on a free transfer from Getafe, after an injury-hit five year spell in Spain with Getafe, making just 41 appearances in La Liga.
Ustari will fight for the No. 1 jersey against Agustin Orion, but according to coach Julio Cesar Falcioni, he will be given the chance to shine in the Xeneize's first game of the new Primera Division campaign.
"I have spoken to Ustari, he has been training normally and he is raring to play," the coach explained to FoxSports on Thursday evening.
"I brought him here to play."
Boca are set for a vital week as they chase the silverware that narrowly eluded them in the first half of 2012. On August 8, they will take on Racing Club in the final of the inaugural Copa Argentina.
