The former Bayern man smashed heads with Marcos Rojo and was left unconscious on the turf, but recovered and is expected to start against Chile on Friday
Ole reports that the Malaga man collided with Spartak Moscow's Marcos Rojo during practice and lost consciousness, in full view of gathered reporters two days before the World Cup qualifier against Chile.
An ambulance was immediately on hand to attend to the player, but Demichelis came around and was given fluids by team doctor Daniel Martinez. He then gingerly got to his feet and walked slowly to the dressing room, giving a thumbs-up sign to confirm that there was no problem.
The report adds that there will be no long-term repercussions from the clash and that the 30-year-old is expected to start on Friday evening at the Estadio Monumental.
